Lite Lipo^TM is the newest form of laser lipolysis (breaking up of fat cells). Originally Smart-Lipo^TM was the first laser lipo machine. It used a single wavelength of light to disrupt the fat prior to its removal with a canula. In Lite Lipo^TM the Sciton ProLipo^TM macine containing two different laser wavelengths is utilized. The first laser melts the fat and the second helps tighten the skin. This procedure is done for smaller areas like around the belly button, neck or arms. Because it uses tiny "no-stitch" incisions and local anesthesia, it is commonly done in the office. An oral sedation can be used if desired by the patient. Healing, soreness and bruising all seem to be better than standard techniques.
