WRINKLE FILLERS
INDICATIONS
Smoothing or filling fine lines to deep folds, plumping lips, adding volume to the face that is lost by aging and depressed scars.
INTENDED RESULT
Restoring youthfulness to the face, plumper and fuller lips, filling wrinkles and folds in addition to filling tear troughs and elevating cheeks.
Temporary wrinkle fillers can last anywhere from 3 to 12 months, depending on the filler and the area we are treating. Choosing the appropriate filler is critical in having a successful treatment. Since we use a myriad of different fillers we are able to consult with patients first matching their needs to the best treatment for them. A partial list of fillers we use include: Restylane, Perlanc, Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus, Evolence, Radiesse, PrevelleSilk, CosmoPlast and CosmoDerm etc.
We also treat with a more permanent filler called ArteFill. A skin test is necessary for this treatment that is read in 30 days to make sure patients have no allergies to this filler. It is used only in deep folds.
PROCEDURE DESCRIPTION
Wrinkle Fillers are injected into the area needing treatment using an ultrafine needle. Tiny amounts are dispersed filling and plumping the face. Dr. Salzman and Skin Spa use his patented device, the Ouchless needle, that sprays a vapocoolant to the skin just prior to the injection providing the most comfortable treatment. Many fillers are also mixed with Lydocaine.
Wrinkle Fillers may be used in conjunction with Botox treatments which halts the muscle from making the wrinkle. This may lengthen the life of the filler as well.
We recommend patients avoid taking aspirin, other anti-inflammatory agents, herbal medication (including Green Tea) and Vitamin E supplements for one week prior to treatment. This will help minimize bruising.
RECUPERATION AND HEALING
The procedure is done in the office and requires no sutures. It has minimal or no downtime associated with it. You can resume your normal activities immediately. There may be mild swelling and reddening at the injection site. These typically dissipate within 1-2 days after the injection.

Initial Consultation: Complimentary with Certified Nurse Injectors, $50 with Dr. Salzman. Wrinkle Filler prices range from $300-700 per syringe. ArteFill permanent filler $1200 per syringe.
