Being a cosmetologist for many years helped me realize the therapeutic value of massage for rejuvenation and relaxation. It wasn’t until I was approaching 40 and started to feel sick and tired, that I fully began to realize the benefit of massage therapy through my own personal healing process. I began receiving deep tissue massages once a week in an integrative treatment plan to feel better. Through this experience I learned the importance of self-care while taking care of a business, clients and a family. My vitality was restored and I was really enjoying my life again! That is when my passion for massage therapy became very apparent.
I enrolled myself in massage therapy school in Louisville at Advanced Massage Therapeutics. I had an overwhelming feeling of being in the right place at the right time. I learned that massage had a very positive effect on every organ and system in the body. I not only felt better physically, but mentally. I really felt that mind and body connection! I felt better and was happier, kinder and more peaceful! As a massage therapist I really enjoy making people feel good and relax while promoting greater health and well-being to others.
