Exilis
The Exilis body shaping treatment is for the patient with skin laxity, cellulite appearance of skin and/or small stubborn fat deposits of the body or face who opts for a totally non-invasive solution. Areas such as the neck, chin or jaw line as well as the abdomen, hips, bra strap area, knees and thighs can be reduced in size and have the overlying skin tightened and smoothed.
Exilis is a state of the art, powerful device that provides thermal energy to break down fat deposits and tighten and smooth skin using radio-frequency (RF). This device uses a mono-polar radio wave that selectively heats the target area to a desired temperature which can be monitored in real time through the hand-piece. The treatments are comfortable and feel like a hot stone massage. Each treatment session can last from 30 to 90 minutes depending on how many areas are treated, how large each is and how much correction is desired. A series of four to six treatments spaced seven to 10 days apart make for the best results, although some result is seen in just one treatment! Patients are encouraged to be well hydrated before, during and for a few days after treatment and some form of mild exercise post treatment will aid in fat removal. Patients who are pregnant, lactating, or have pacemakers are not candidates for Exilis.
There is absolutely no down time associated with Exilis. Normal activities can be resumed immediately. Makeup can be applied directly after the treatment. There can be a mild redness to the skin for a few hours after the treatment. On occasion, some tenderness of the treated area of the lower face may be present for a day.
Exilis Elite
Exilis Elite uses 90 watts of power, as opposed to 50 watts with classic Exilis, and is used mainly for skin tightening. The Exilis Elite uses a higher power than Exilis to increase skin tightening results.
LiteShape™
LiteShape™ Laser Liposuction is a minimally invasive, in-office procedure that uses ultrasound energy to deliver heat directly to the fat deposits and tightens the skin. This technique melts the fat which can then be suctioned out easily with a small cannula. More heat is delivered to the tissue to tighten the skin. There is fewer trauma to the tissue which makes recovery time faster than general liposuction. A compression support will be worn for two weeks post procedure. This procedure is performed in the office under local sedation.
