Traveling To Louisville

Length of Time in Town:

Breast Augmentation:

3 days. Sutures dissolve on their own.

Liposuction:

2 to 3 days. Sutures dissolve on their own.

Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty):

7 days. The sutures, if used, will be removed on day 4. The splint will be taken off the nose at day 7.

Facelift:

7 to 10 days. Sutures in front of the ear are removed on day 5 to 6.

Ageless™ Minilift:

5 days. The sutures are removed on the 4th day and the patient can return home.

Tummy Tucks:

1 week. All of the sutures are hidden and need not be removed. The vast majority of patients will have a drainless tummy tuck without a drain. If a drain is used, it will be taken out between 5 and day 7.

First Night Companion:

For your own safety, you cannot spend your first night after surgery alone. Therefore, you must bring a companion with you to take care of you following your procedure. If needed, we can arrange an overnight caregiver for you. Depending on the procedure performed and your budget, you can choose between a registered nurse and a trained companion. Be sure to let us know if this service is needed when you schedule your surgery.

Follow-Up Care:

We would prefer that you stay in the Louisville area until the sutures are removed. If the need arises for you to leave before that, we will make every effort to find a plastic surgeon in your area to look after you.
