ProFractional™ is the latest advancement in fractional laser technology. It is used to treat Acne Scars as well as other skin complications. ProFractional™ quickly and effectively treats wrinkles, acne scars, skin tone and texture, and pigmentation. What makes the ProFractional™ unique is that the physician can tailor the ablative fractional resurfacing treatment to include as little or as much thermal heat as desired for each individual. The more heat used, the better the end result will be; but it can require longer healing time. Healing time varies depending on how deep the patient’s treatment is.
The Affirm Laser system makes the skin appear more supple, youthful, and full while helping to treat fine lines, pore size, skin tone, and texture. Since this laser does not go any deeper into the skin than necessary, the treatments deliver only minimal discomfort that is tolerable without the use of topical numbing creams. Sunburn-like redness, swelling, or puffiness is usually gone within hours but can last more than a few days. Affirm Laser can also be used to treat Frown Lines.
Affirm treatments require a series of 3-5 sessions to expose all of the skin to the micro thermal laser zones. Sessions last 30 minutes and are spaced 3 weeks apart.
Also used for Skin Tightening, our MicroLaserPeel is a partial-to-full epidermal laser peel and is done in-office using a topical anesthetic. It ablates the outermost layers of the skin with the depth of the peel going between 10 and 50 microns, based on the level of correction. It goes deeper into the epidermis than treatments like our Microdermabrasion, but is much less invasive than laser resurfacing. This treatment is usually repeated 2-4 times, spaced 6-8 weeks apart to achieve the desired result. The downtime for this peel is placed over 3 to 4 days. Patients may look sunburned immediately following the treatment. Redness will continue to dissipate.
If you’re looking for a non-laser approach to treatments for Skin Texture, our Skin Spa offers Home Skincare, Facials, Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning, and Chemical Peels. For more information on skin rejuvenation and other procedures, visit the Laser Treatments home page.
