Spider veins are broken blood vessels which can commonly be seen on the face and legs. These can be easily treated with our Yag laser or our Broadband Light Therapy (BBL). With a beam of light, this laser can deliver a prescribed dose of energy to the spider veins. The laser “selectively” coagulates the problem veins while sparing the surrounding areas. The vessel slowly and naturally disappears. This may require more than one treatment usually separated between four to six weeks.
The treated areas may have minimal swelling and redness which could last a few days. We recommend that in order to have veins treated you have not been in the sun, tanning bed, or have had a spray tan.
Rosacea Laser treatment is customized to the patient. Normally, you would need between 4-6 treatments, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. This is a non-invasive, safe, gentle procedure with no downtime. Makeup may be applied directly after treatment and you can return to normal activities right away. This may cause some redness immediately following the treatment that will resolve within a few hours. Using sunblock when you go outdoors is very important.
